Rippin gets extra hands again

There will be another concert in the ever-popular series masterminded and compered by John Rippin in January. A regular meeting opportunity for Old Buck music lovers from all generations. The next concert will be on Saturday 21st January at the usual venue - Chingford Parish Church - starting at 7.30pm. The programme will include original works and arrangements of Handel, Mozart, Chabrier, Bizet, Grieg, Borodin and many more, for 4, 6, 8 and 12 hands on two pianos. Programmes on the door at £10 (concessions £8). As usual, all proceeds will go to the East Anglian Children's Hospice.

Two other Old Bucks in the line up of pianists will be Terence Atkins and Geoffrey Pratley. Others who will join in at the crowded keyboards will be Nicholas Reading and Desmond Bazley (both have played in these concerts previously) and a newcomer to the ranks, Jonathan Marten, a Chingford musician, who at the Royal College of Music at the same time as Terence Atkins and also knows Geoffrey Pratley as they are both examiners for the Associated Board.

The photo below shows the six maestros in action at last year's concert.
