HELP

If this is your first visit, here are some answers to possible questions you may have.

How can I find out whether a person has been traced?

From the home page, click on NETWORK, then DATABASE. Put the name (SURNAME ONLY!) of the person in the box under Network Search and press the Submit button. If the person's name then appears. The blue button at the right of the name will then open up any further information that may be available.

What if I am unsure how the person's name is spelled?

If you know only part of the name, you can put a % sign after any number of letters. % is the "wildcard" symbol. For example, if you are looking for someone who may be Davis or Davies, enter Dav%.

How can I display all the people from my year group?

To do this, you need to put a % sign in the name box (% is the "wildcard" symbol) and then use the drop down box for the year you started. Note that start year should bring up all the people in a particular year group including any who started later than the first year.

What do I do if I would like to contact an individual or group of people?

We don't display email addresses on the web site, but if you would like to contact someone please send a message to Graham Frankel. He will forward this to the person or group on your behalf.

What if the name of a person I am looking for is not listed?

We believe we have got all names of people who attended the school for at least two years. If you think we have missed a name please let Graham Frankel know, either by email or by using the Wiki form at the bottom of this page.

What if I find my name on the list but I am not shown as "found"?

Please contact Graham Frankel and let him know! You can do this either by email or by using the Wiki form at the bottom of the page.

How can I find if there are any photos of particular people or teams or events?

Simply put a relevant keyword in the Keyword/phrase box and press the Submit button. If there are any pages with your keywords these will then be shown.

If I see a photo that includes me, how can I get this shown in the description?

You will appreciate that the labelling of all the archive photos is going to take some time! However, if you could send a message to Graham Frankel with the names of as many others in the photo as you can identify, putting question marks where you don't know or are unsure of a name, this will be added to the description. This does not apply to the panoramic photos! You send the message either in a normal email or using the Wiki form at the bottom of the page.

What is the Keyword on the Wiki form?

This keyword is a means of protecting us from spam messages. To send us a comment about the site you have to enter the keyword shown by the side of the box each time.

How can I submit more photos etc for inclusion on the site?

You are welcome to do so. Send the photos to Graham Frankel with any description that you would like to be included.

What if I have a question that has not been answered?

Please contact Graham Frankel either by email or by using the Wiki form at the bottom of this page.
